Barely younger than Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, Sister Eugenie was her contemporary.
Although less well known, she resembles her in her evangelical childhood.
Being tiny with Jesus required Sister Eugenie to master her nature and fight daily which made her great in holiness.
« She had a totally filial relationship with Mary. ” To love Mary, to love her ever more! I love her because she is my Mother. She gave me everything, she gives me everything.” »
(extract Mgr. Henri Brincard, Eugénie Joubert, Vingt-huit ans de sourire, p.3).
« Childhood, vocation, religious life, apostolate, suffering and death, everything in Eugenie’s life was marked by the maternal presence of Mary. »
(Dom Antoine Marie osb., abbot – Letter Saint-Joseph de Clairval Abbey, August 22, 1996).
« Eugenie Joubert lived her short life in “great confidence through love, the love of the simplicity of the little child”; she focused her attention on the two points that seemed essential to her – humility and obedience. “I will pray for everyone in heaven” she promised her sisters. Let us ask him to guide us on the path from spiritual childhood to Paradise. “The Kingdom of the Little Ones” : this is where she awaits us with the multitude of Saints. We pray to her and Saint Joseph for ourselves and yours, both living and deceased. »
