Testimony by Fatima Lucarini on Blessed Eugénie Joubert at the Church of St. Silvia in Rome!
Speaking before the parish community of St. Silvia in Rome—where October 18 marked the start-of-the-year gathering for catechists—Fatima Lucarini, a dedicated missionary with the “Friends of Blessed Eugénie Joubert,” demonstrated how much Blessed Eugénie can help us pass on the faith in today’s society.
The catechists present recited a prayer together with Don Alfio Tirrò, the parish priest, asking for the Blessed’s intercession for the parish’s catechists, in the presence of her relics displayed on the altar. You can read this prayer, which received the imprimatur of Bishop Micas of Tarbes-Lourdes, on the website’s homepage.
The Church of Saint Silvia is a parish church that was elevated to the rank of cardinal church by Saint John Paul II in 2001.
This October 18 marked another occasion for gathering and prayer in anticipation of the canonization of Eugénie Joubert.
