On this October 7, how can we fail to recall the call that our Holy Father Leo XIV addressed to us at Lourdes? 

“That is why today, as if I were receiving this request from the Virgin Mary, I invite all the faithful and all Christian communities to pray the Holy Rosary during the coming month of October, with the special intention that wars may cease and that peace may be established among peoples in conflict. Let us accompany this prayer with concrete acts of penance and mercy, with a commitment to always foster dialogue and reconciliation.”

Blessed Eugénie Joubert, who was born on February 11, 1876, lived out this call!
“She carries a great passion in her heart: to love the Blessed Mother, to be like her, so as to be as Jesus wants her to be. She knows that, because she is loved by Her, she can obtain anything from Her. The Rosary was her favorite prayer. Whenever she wished to obtain a particular grace, she would offer the entire Rosary to the Blessed Virgin for nine consecutive days, along with five sacrifices—choosing those that cost her the most. The Blessed Virgin always answered her. “When she spoke to me about the Blessed Virgin,” recounts one of her younger companions, “it seemed to me that I could see Heaven in her eyes.” (Excerpt from “Sr. Eugénie Joubert,” Lethielleux, 1911, p. 172).
