Mary, Queen, August 22! The Virgin Mary is our Queen. On this day, let us tell her, along with Blessed Eugénie Joubert, that we want her to be the Queen of our hearts.

As she contemplated in her heart Mary’s spiritual influence throughout history—and in each person’s life—Eugénie was filled with enthusiasm for the One she called her “Mother in Heaven”:

“To love Mary, to love her again, to love her ever more! I love her because I love her; I love her because she is my Mother! I love her because she is all beautiful, all pure. I love her, and I want every beat of my heart to tell her: My Immaculate Mother, you know very well that I love you!”. Queen of Peace.
