Site dedicated to Blessed Eugenie Joubert

"28 years smiling"

Event in Rome on May 14, 2025: “Evangelize by example.”

This evening in the parish of St. Pius X, in the Balduina district of Rome, dedicated to the Christian witness of Eugénie Joubert, was a great success, with the participation of many young people who will soon receive the sacrament of Confirmation, their catechists, and many parishioners.

Everyone was enthusiastic about the timely message of this young nun in love with Christ, who valued simplicity, love, and trust.

Numerous witnesses were present:

Mother Rebecca Nazzaro, superior of the Missionaries of Divine Revelation; Father Bernard Planche, ecclesiastical advisor to the French Embassy to the Vatican; François Vayne, author of a recent book on the blessed; Jean-Louis Gaucher, great-grandson of Eugénie Joubert, and his wife Monique, both from France and leaders of the association “Friends of Blessed Eugénie Joubert.”

The relics of the blessed accompanied these moments of sharing.

This evening was the first of a series of events organized in parishes on the outskirts of Rome with the aim of raising awareness of Eugenia Joubert, the “catechist of the suburbs,” who will be held up as an example to all participants in the jubilee for catechists organized in September 2025 in the Eternal City.

A traveling exhibition in six panels on Eugenia Joubert was also inaugurated. Fatima Lucarini and Asia Cannone performed a piece from the oratorio currently being composed by Maestro Marcello Bronzetti on Blessed Eugenia Joubert. The oratorio will be performed free of charge in the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle on Saturday, September 27. Marcello Bronzetti is the author, among other works, of the oratorios presented during the canonization ceremonies of Charles de Foucault and Mother Teresa.
